I would thank the Lord that I was not living in a war torn country all the while forgetting about the Great Commission. Yes, it is time to gain ground while the "lull" remains. What a stirring post, Heather. We have so much freedom and opportunity.

Your thoughts reminded me of something I heard a pastor explain once. He said that our country's freedom (or other open doors around the world) is like a lull in the gunfire as the enemy reloads; good soldiers don't pull up the lounge chairs at such a time--they barrel forward hoping to gain ground against the enemy!Grafted Branchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13234492249971474897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17242998.post-60979666050446945792007-07-07T14:31:00.000+13:002007-07-07T14:31:00.000+13:00Heather, Amen! But, we are all one in Christ Jesus and I know that I know that you love our Lord and Saviour as much as I! I am contacting you through your blog to pray for a family that loves our Lord as well. They are very dear friends of ours and the Mommy/Wife, who is 34 yrs young, has had a massive stroke and is being put on life support. She has a husband and 4 children ages 6, 5, 3, and 1. Please, Please be praying for their family and possibly a miracle. I know that God has everything under control and His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are above our thoughts, but He hears the petitions of the righteous and He answers prayer! So, as a sister in Christ, I ask that you and your family would add this family in our body of Christ to your prayers... God bless you and have a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
Sarah TAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
