Hillbilly Heather

Your Hillbilly Name Is...

Lil' Dolly Tractor

No Concern too SMALL!!

..to take to the Lord in prayer. God is so good, and I just want to Praise Him and His love for us and His concern for all our trials...great, small, and embarrassing ones too. He knows and loves when we take things to Him. THANK YOU LORD!! :) (WINK WINK to a friend who I know rejoices in this as well)

About Tonight...

We choose to separate from the celebrations...tonight. We celebrate God's creation and Him...any time we want to!! :) For our house...doing everything to stand, and not be weighted in any way means we must separate ourselves from those things which we believe directly assault the Gospel of Christ. Hebrews 12:1 is helpful along with the verses below; the Lord reveals "weights" we carry that slow us down in the "race"- Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

The following verses have been on my heart this past month as I have been taking them apart and praying on them etc... my thoughts continue below...
edited to add-Psalms 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me
Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Mat 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Mark 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of [these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

We are living in the day of evil, are we not? Times have so changed, and I will say, that the first couple of years after we had Brianna, we did dress her up and take her door to door. We prayed about it afterwards, and we were covinced that this was not one of the better things the Lord would desire for us...then we resorted to fall festivals instead-and were convicted on that as well. Now, we will do a fall festival if it has nothing to do with Halloween...ie no dressing up unless it is a pilgrim theme and it must be on a separate night. That is not to say we judge anyone else. Each must answer for themselves, and we would never want to "distract" a fellow believer with rantings about "doubtful" issues the Lord has yet to reveal to them (if at all). We may, in meekness, share a testimony...which I am poorly doing...sorry. If the testimony sheds some light, then Praise the Lord...it was His work, and if we are given Light from the Lord on an issue, we must obediently walk in it. Anyway, I wanted to at least comment on the matter in case anyone is curious as to what we do. The girls have dress up stuff, and being homeschooled, they can dress up pretty much any time they want :) And, of course, I am a continuous work in progress. The Lord reveals "weights" I am carrying everyday..*sigh* He is so patient with me. PTL!!! God Bless you and your family as you seek those "better" things He has for your life.

Luke 5:39 No man also having drunk old [wine] straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

Try the New and better things revealed to you in His Word (not new and better of the world) you will be blessed!! I have been!!

Check Out

...some of these recipes from Michelle's blog -Hill's Life! The pumpkin bars sound so yummmy and I love the Ice Cream in a ziplock bag idea for the kids!..

Yuuuummy...

LOL I forgot to post these pics from a few weeks ago :) Brianna is brave when it comes to trying new things...this is one thing in the US, but here, in Japan...WATCH OUT. These were Yummmy lol can't you tell? Shrimp flavored puffs of some sort. Ha ha...what I really wish I had a picture of is my husband literally gagging in the parking lot after trying one of these :D At least it is not part of his Extra Crunchy diet eh?;)

A BUSY Week!!

So, this week was a little busy...it's no wonder we are sick :)
Monday-homeschool co-op all day then I babysat.
Tuesday morning Ladies' Visitation (wonderful wonderful ministry headed up by a dear friend of mine) (Lily was acting a little under the weather) -Brianna had a Piano lesson and I babysat.
Wednesday, I babysat and then we had AWANAs which my husband and I work in (we love it!).
Thursday it was my turn to bake for visitation that night...so, you know. Baking and then off to visitation...everything was pretty normal until LATE Thursday night when I started ....yes, losing my dinner BLECK!! I hate it!! Friday, I felt better than I did the night before, but the rest of the kids were acting sick.
Saturday, my husband had Cantata practice at 8am and left from there to work by 9:45am (yes he is still working awful hours). BUT PTL!! Because we were all sick, he got out of having to go to a Halloween Party made mandatory by his Command- yes, mandatory... give me a break!!! The Marine Corps does some strange things....anyway...I was actually thankful that I was sick so he did not have to waste another evening away from us.
Now, Sunday...Brian is all alone at church :( I am glad, at least, that he is not sick! Please pray for Anjolie..she is running fevers and sounds awful. The rest of us don't feel too badly, but I might have to take her in tomorrow if she does not improve! Aside from blogging here and there...I am keeping up with the house pretty well so PTL for that!! Hope we have a healthy week this week...I am helping my husband with a 3 day EXTRA CRUNCHY diet. :) I will update later!!

All dressed up..

...but too "Croupy" to go...to church that is. They woke up "barking" like seals...Anjolie and Lily with a fever :( I made the girls, all three, some skirts for church, even though they are a little on the casual side. My mom got the material for me, and I made Anjolie and Lily a 6 panel skirt. I made Brianna a regular skirt with elastic in the back only. I am so not talented when it comes to sewing things...Oh well. I will just keep practicing...when I get the chance :)

Week in Pictures...

We had a little lesson on NOT sticking things up our nostrils!
I found out that this is where Anjolie puts her babies (bears etc) when they are naughty lol. I kept finding "things" in there all week. This baby looks like it got into some ink huh?
LOL I was feeling sick the other day, and laid down for a few minutes with Ayden who is also sick. Brianna, my busy little HIT, decided to run my dishwasher for me...with liquid dish-soap! As you can see, at least I caught it in the beginning ;) We did some quick training on that one...
Anjolie is cutting out words beginning with "T" from my junk mail :) She is already starting to sound out some simple words (like map, cat etc) at 3 and a half!
The girls received some special letters from Grandma in the mail which we read to them :) They loved them, and I enjoyed "catching" up via a real letter! Very touching Mom ...thanks!! We sure love you guys!!

When was the Last Time...

..you gave your husband a good back massage? I found a great step by step "how-to" Here :) I read it through a few times so I can remember what to do. Why not set the mood with a mint (it's refreshing and a bit of a sugar lift) jasmine scented (or whatever scent you like ;) ) candles, relaxing music, some warm oriental tea...and surprise him?

It touches my heart

...to hear or read the testimony of a young man or lady who has surrendered themselves to Christ and His ministry. This testimony entitled "My Home" just touched my heart today. I am sure it will yours as well.
It is heartbreaking when young men and women waste their God-given talents on the wretchedness of the world...and then, when the world is tired of them, they are left empty..their riches spent and they have only life-long scars to show for their efforts. A sea of hurt fills their soul. Their eternity is at stake if they have not surrendered their lives to God. The world sure offers plenty of distractions to keep us busy busy busy, excited, loud, up-to-date, discontented, or content with worldly wealth and fame...death is not picky- and is never satisfied as long as we are here. Need something to distract you from the WORLD? Pick up the WORD...the Living (kjv I prefer for attention getting ;) )one. Turn to Romans 6:23...if THAT does not distract one from their worldly concerns, nothing will...for it is either your soul at stake or someone elses. Anyway, back to these talented young men and women...how the Lord longs to fill these vessels with Himself- to heal the hurt and make them whole. If only they would let go of the wasteland and cling to Him...He never tires of us..we are always a Headliner with Him! It just turns my stomach to think of a life without the Lord. uuuuuhhh oops *ahem* speaking of distracted lol....Lily just pumped my handsoap out onto my couch...how do like that for needing to take my own medicine :)

The Love of God

Praise the Lord that He has a love greater than mine...
I am reminded that I am not sharing about this love enough :( My friend's neighbor took his life last week, leaving behind a wife and children. I have seen them around base. The wife I would see quite a bit, but did I ever once speak to her? No. Many times I would be in line somewhere, and she would be there right next to me...I was more concerned with my latte than with her lost state. It is not too late to share with her, but it is too late for anything to save her husband.

This world has nothing but pain and suffering to offer...I need to be burning with the desire to share of God's immeasurable depth of forgiveness and love... How many times did the Lord put her in my path? Could my sharing with her have made a difference? I am sure of it. It sure opened my eyes to everyone around me...lives just waiting to be impacted by the truth...the Gospel.

"The Love of God" by Frederick Lehman...is my favorite hymn. I love to sing it :) The last verse especially, I can barely hold it together it so touches my heart...
The Love of God
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell
The guilty pair, bowed down with care
God gave His Son to win
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin

O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure
The saints and angels' song

When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call;
God's love, so sure, shall still endure, All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam's race-
The saints' and angels' song

Chorus

Could we with ink the ocean fill
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
Chorus

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Peter 3:9

The Atheist

... :) One of my friends sent this joke to me this morning...I thought I would share it with you all...

An atheist was taking a walk through the woods. What majestic trees! What powerful rivers! What beautiful animals!" he said to himself. As he was walking alongside the river he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. He turned to look. He saw a 7 foot grizzly charge towards him. He ran as fast as he could up the path. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the bear was closing in on him. He looked over his shoulder again, and the bear was even closer. He tripped and fell on the ground.He rolled over to pick himself up but saw the bear right on top of him, reaching for him with his left paw and raising his right paw to strike him. At that instant the Atheist cried out: "Oh my G-d !..." Time stopped. The bear froze. The forest was silent. As a bright light shone upon the man, a voice came out of the sky: "You deny my existence for all of these years, teach others I don't exist,and even credit creation to a cosmic accident. Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer?" The atheist looked directly into the light, "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask You to treat me as a Christian now, but perhaps, could you make the BEAR a Christian?" "Very well," said the voice. The light went out. The sounds of the forest resumed. And then the bear dropped his right paw, brought both paws together and bowed his head and spoke: "Lord, bless this food, which I am about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord, Amen."

Beautiful....

...in it's time. I have been learning so much about true beauty...and I must say that I am excited! In an ever changing world full of disappointment and turmoil-the Holy Spirit within us empowers us to bring beauty- His beauty to EVERY situation and/or circumstance. Sometimes, when I am exhausted and up to my ears in whining complaining sick children and Brian is working the weekend...again... I think,...what could POSSIBLY be beautiful about this situation?! LOL...do you know what the answer was? My reaction could be beautiful...and by the Grace of God- supernatural. I had to put a smile on my face, take a deep breath..., pull out my shield of faith and my sword -some timely scripture...ok ALOT of scripture and REACT IN A GOD HONORING WAY. I realized- that would be beautiful in God's sight...it was so difficult for me the first time I deliberately did it. As a matter of fact, I told the girls I was having a rough time and that the Lord was going to help me through if I let Him...we prayed, I explained about how Scripture-the Living Word is all-powerful against the evil one, and I forced a smile on my face...and waited..with my mouth shut. My mouth loses the battle for me time after time- Psalm 141:3 "Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips." has defeated many a fiery dart. And then... "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint." Isa 40:31 ...it was over. This old flesh was writhing but it wearied and gave up...peace flooded my heart as the Lord met me there. It was as if I could feel His warmth shining on me...
I know the battles will not end as long as I am here on this earth, and this little trial is nothing compared to what most of you go through I am sure. However, PTL, I have found yet another treasure to be excited about...something that cannot be taken away- the Eternal beauty of the Lord and seeing all that He desires to become beautiful in His time.
The sorrows of the world do not control us..those chains fell off when we accepted Christ as our Savior. Bitterness over the past must be repented of and those chains will fall away as well... that is a tricky one that I find hiding in my heart at times- keeping me from enjoying the full beauty of a life in Christ. The devastations will come, we can be sure of that, but they don't have to be devastating.
I am so thankful that I have a God whose Grace and beauty ABOUNDS to chasten, forgive, comfort, and empower me towards better things. Ecc 3:11 "He hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." When we consistently react in a beautiful way to an unpleasant or even hideous circumstance, imagine how much glory that brings to God...that is truly beautiful! I am not at all saying there is not a time to sorrow or grieve a loss...Jesus wept..that is still a "beautiful" response to a loved one we have lost and will miss or to be sickened by sin or harm done to others- those are appropriate responses, of course. I hope I conveyed my thoughts well in this...sometimes the things I get so excited about I have a hard time getting the words that express ....anyway.. I am sorry I went on and on, and by no means do I excel at this, but I am excited about it :) God bless you...my beautiful friends. Thank you to

"I Come In Prayer" ;)

We had a little visitor...actually, it was the biggest Praying Mantis I had ever seen. I showed the girls of course, and you know who, after some thought- asked me, "What's he praying about Mom?"

X'd ?

Brian was hooking up a VCR (lol...don't ask) and he had to pull out the Entertainment Center from the wall exposing some cables etc. He told Anjolie not to get back there because of the power cords. I don't know about anyone else, but anything having to do with electricity is a big deal to my kids PTL so far. Well, to make a long story short (no, no one got shocked *snicker*) Anjolie quietly and seriously advised me not to go over there or I would get "X'd" pronounced phonetically "ext" ;). I asked her what she meant, and she spread her arms and legs out so her body made an "X", and said "see, my body is in an "X" and that's what happens to people when they get "X'd" with power cords" I started to laugh, and she said she- "really saw that in [cartoons] when someone (got shocked) -they got 'X'd". I just laughed thinking of those cartoons, and how in her imagination, she saw me in an X being electrocuted... LOL

Prayerful

I never feel more peace or comfort than when I am soaking my life in prayer. Like a sponge, we dry up- I used to think I could pray myself up through the week or even day. I thought, in the past, that one good session in the morning should be enough to boost me through my day. The Bible, however, tells us to "Pray without ceasing" 1Th 5:17. That sure takes practice, but I notice when I am in constant "conversation" with the Lord, I am keeping my thoughts in submission as well as my works committed to Him (Pro 16:3). Prayer is our resource no matter where we are in our walk, we have the same access to God! When our lives are bathed in prayer and hardships come, we will not fret or worry because we are leaning, with our whole hearts and minds, on our loving Father and safe in His Ark. We also then are riding on top of the stormy flood and sure of the solid prayerful vessel surrounding us. Just as Noah painstakingly took time with his sons to carefully and accurately build the Ark that God gave instruction for, we have been given instruction to build a vessel of faith through prayer and supplication- in God's Word. If we keep at it diligently, obediantly, in His Will (following instruction)- we will have a sealed, well built vessel that no storm can destroy.
Phl 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Jam 5:16 Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

1 Pe 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Under Construction!

Thank you for your patience as I give my page a face lift...I lost all my "friends" links in the transition to beta :( if you have the time to post your blog page link in the comment box, I would greatly appreciate it...if not...I will find it and post it eventually :)

Things That Make Moms Smile..

...do I even need to comment on this pic. I took this morning? I just wanted to get some water and found ...:) Anjolie's bear..just chillin' I guess lol.

Food Dye Frustrations

Those that know our family personally know that we have "issues" with food coloring..specifically the yellows, Red no. 40 and the Lake blue. We discovered the problem...actually the Lord, I am sure led us to it after much prayer, due to some obvious behavior changes/problems in Brianna when she was just about 2. She would probably have been put on medication by now if we had not discovered it. That is another whole story -how we put her on a modified elimination diet etc (it was not difficult to find the problem)...but anyway, that is another story for another time.
This morning, I gave the girls something that we thought was dye free (we check EVERYTHING). Well, at this point I know if they have had dye...especially on an empty stomach. I saw the signs immediately in Anjolie- flushed cheeks, extreme agitation, scattered thinking, hyper, frequent urination..those are just the ones I recognize..and they continue for about 3 days unless she drinks lots of water. My frustration is that the dyes are so widely used without proper education to the public. You can google lots of info on your own if you are interested...but these are toxins that are regulated very closely, yes, but still affect our small children! I don't claim to know that all children don't need some sort of medication due to behavior problems, but I would guarantee from personal experience that at least MANY of them are from all the food coloring we feed them. It breaks my heart that parents don't know...and even scoff at the idea that it could be the red 40, red 3, yellow 5, yellow 6, blue 1 etc...that could be causing their child's behavior problems. Did you know that Red 40 is specifically 2-NAPHTHALENESULFONIC ACID, 6-HYDROXY-5-((2-
METHOXY-5-METHYL-4-SULFOPHENYL)AZO)-, DISODIUM SALT. It is a coal tar
extract
some are a product of petroleum. And believe me, this is just scratching the surface of the problems I am sure- I wish I knew more! I noticed such an improvement in my children's behavior that I just stopped there. I do plan to do some more prayerful research as well ( I am not an extra-crunchy type or anything either...not that there is anything wrong with that). I just know that nothing will be done about this widespread problem unless concerned parents speak out. I would challenge anyone concerned about this to try it for just one week. Allow 3-4 days for any remaining dye to exit your child's system while drinking plenty of water and then for 1 week do not allow your child to have anything at all containing any of the red, yellow, or blue dyes (those I notice the most). After 1 week, give your child something with red 40 in it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach give it about 15-20 min -(yes, that quickly for a small child). You will be shocked as it is my theory that MOST parents will see a dramatic and sudden behavior change. Now, my children are ages 5 and under, so an older child may start metabolizing these colors better...I don't know-we will see when Brianna gets older. Are my children sin filled and disobediant? Of course, that is not what I am addressing...I am talking about dyes that act like drugs on our children...I will end here, but I just want to Praise the Lord for helping us find this out early without drug intervention. It is worth the effort to try it at least.

More H.I.T. Pics

Ok, this was more their idea than mine :) They caught me ironing their clothes for the day and felt I had been holding out on them. Poooo they say to folding towels now...baby work *rolling eyes*. lol I figured learning how to iron cloth napkins and pillowcases couldn't hurt as long as I was within arm's reach. They were just thrilled and could not wait to tell Daddy.

:) I love my little homemaker's in training.

My Marine

...is so thoughtful!
....look! Roses made of paper thin soap..how romantic!
The poor guy is being worked to death I think..ok -that is an exaggeration. He has, however been working 14 and 15 hour days most of the time, and he has had to work the past 4 Saturdays as well. It could be so much worse, but I miss him!! The other day he surpised me with a little spa set and a Yankee candle (smart man huh?) and told me to lock myself in the bathroom and take a bubble bath. I was just tickled...even if it was almost 9pm :)

Blessings

...all sorts :) My parents bought us a beautiful orchid while they were here...and then....

:) I was cooking dinner, and I looked out my window to see one of our neighbors throwing out their plants because they are moving. I ran out there to "save" them ;)
The spiky one in front of my house and then 3 on my back porch...I am so happy!!!

Getting Better...

...I guess ;) She is still acting like she does not feel well...cranky, whiny, clingy..you know, but the "yucky stuff" has stopped PTL. So, yesterday was a real winner of a day. Her pacifier somehow got a hole in it...*ahem* Anjolie bit a chunk off of it..so you can see the rejected thing lying there on Lily's bed. I tried to put her down for a nap with it.. lol. She threw a FIT like I had never seen in her before! I just closed her door and let her work that out... you can see in the picture that she crashed eventually..sort of ...standing up still...anyway she trashed her room first (tried to cut most of that out of the picture), so she must have felt she accomplished something at least. Hmmm looks as if she got a little reading done as well..ha ha. She is not even 2 yet folks!! AAAHHHH!! We went out last night to buy her 2 new ones- definitely not the ones she prefers, but they sure are better than holey ones :)...YAY!!!

BBBLLLLEEEEEECH!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I know this is just one of those things that we don't talk about, but I'm gonna go there anyway. *sob* Lily has a stomach virus...which I just found all over my floor :( I mean, how in the world do you graciously and in a most lady like way scrub up "the trots"?! I stuck Lily in the tub to try to get her cleaned up ...I should have just hosed her off outside...seriously- because *sob* now my tub is clogged. *stop that smiling!!!* ;) I am ready to vomit!!...my two other girls think this is just hilarious that I now have to sanitize the entire house to keep the rest of us "contained". Why oh why did I pray for motivation for a top to bottom house cleaning... Uugggh. It's gonna take a POT of coffee to energize me through this, and if there was ever a video watching day for the kids...this is the day. Poor Lily, I know, but I am just not feelin' the compassion amidst the stench. Hope your having a great day...I will, in spite of it all...it is a gorgeous day outside. Guess I will open all the doors and windows to air this place out. I will update later!!

Peter's Wife

According to tradition, Peter was martyred by being crucified upside down, but something that I had never heard before was that Peter's wife (according to tradition) was crucified in Rome as well, while her husband was forced to watch. His reported last words to her were "Remember the Lord". She was martyred along with her husband...it was not "I love you...or remember me..." that Peter used to bolster his wife in her time of incredible suffering, but "Remember the Lord". Those 3 words encompass so much. Remember His teachings, His love, the mistreatment and rejection He endured, His suffering...yes, in my tiny daily trials surely this will serve as inspiration and give perspective to me as well. What a tremendous woman she must have been. We will meet her in glory!! :)

An Elvis Sighting?

Yes, lol that is my husband...oh 7 years ago (before kids) :) Their base was having a fun run...just for the record, we now don't celebrate halloween, but Brian had to be dressed up for the run. We could not find anything that Brian would agree to wear...his buddies were doing "Ghostbusters" lol, and when I saw this gold fringed lamay (sp?) costume... I knew I had found a winner. The sales lady and I convinced him to try it on over his clothes in the middle of the store. I saw some gaudy gold rimmed glasses and handed those to him too. I think the whole store was in agreement on this choice. I had tears rolling down my cheeks I was laughing so hard. My husband kind of mumbled that it would do if I took up the pants which were almost a foot too long! The next morning I stapled them up and used eyeliner to draw sideburns and chest hair. He still was not so sure about it, and when I dropped him off at work (we only had 1 car ) everyone stopped what they were doing to "admire" lol. They even had him calling cadence Elvis style...so by the end he was having a good time. LOL...I personally think he looks quite handsome in his get-up. Not many of my friends get to see this funny side of my husband, but those of us who have experienced his quick wit and contagious laugh can't get enough of it. :) Thanks honey for letting me share this with my friends!

GLITCHY..

...cable still. :( I just don't understand why it is so glitchy it is off for most of the day, and of course there is no getting a hold of the cable company!!

Anyway :) We are doing well, busy, but well. God is so good to continue His obvious work in our lives...life, though filled with trial, is truly sweet because of Him. He has provided some WONDERFUL friends here (one in paricular has been such a blessing ;) wink wink Pam ), even though I am thousands of miles away from my friends and family back home...He provides in a tremendous way.

Just a little bit of testimony to what the Lord is doing in my life lately...I discovered along my way...or should I say, the Lord REVEALED to me that I had been more in love with my walk and the things I (thought) was doing for the Lord..than with HIM. Satan is so sneaky...that is just another form of pride and dangerously stealing glory from God..not that I sought to do that, but my gaze fell short..still stopping on myself vice the Lord Himself. I thought of Peter walking on the water...except I was looking down to enjoy what I was doing more than fearing looking away from Him...of course when I sank, He lovingly revealed to me what the problem was and graciously showed me the way once again. Not that I think I am "walking on water"...but you know what I mean....I hope :)

She Lost Her 1st Tooth

*sigh*
My baby....she was so excited to lose this tooth...a tooth that when it first peeked out its little head in her baby mouth we celebrated...loved it and brushed it clean..I never thought I would feel so sad to see it go :)

Don't Laugh

...tooooo hard ok. Yes, that is me you hear yellin' my head off because of a dumb baby lizard. If you look closely you can see it's yucky tail on my lap too....eeeeewwwwwwww!!!!
