Well...it went..the week that is ;) I need to relax and enjoy it...that is where I am struggling-but God is working on that.
Thank you so much for the emails and prayer requests and updates. I will try to go around and catch up with you all tonight. My heart just aches for the trials that many of you are facing- it is so wonderful that we are not alone. I *do* pray for you and think of you.
One friend in particular is saying goodbye this morning to her beloved as he is boarding a plane for Iraq...they are at the airport as I type this, and I am literally in tears for them as I type this. The Lord has been holding her hand and she has been so strong because of the Lord. Please be in prayer for her..the longest they have been apart is 8 weeks. God is so good all the time. I am so thankful for the brave men who fight for a freedom that is by no means "free". We must always fight for what is right-whatever the cost.

HI Heather,
We start school monday for another year we have 13 students so far God is good.
I feel sad for your friend whos husband is leaving for iraq Iam just thankful for that Jon is not going away.... I think that would be so hard .But I know women do it all the time..
Glad to hear you made it through your first week of school...I still have to order books. Yes, I know. FOR SHAME!
I'll pray for this wife and her husband as he leaves for Iraq.
~Kristi
Glad you made the week. It will get easier. At least that was my experience. So much depends on that first week. So now relax. My heart breaks for your friend. You are so right when you said "freedom that is by no means
'free." It cost some so very much and there is just no way to say thank you to express what is in my heart. God bless you all. My prayers are with you. connie from Texas
Heather, I admire your resolve and discipline soooooo much! God. bless. you!
I'm looking at lighter blog-jogging too once we start our daily routine right after Labor Day.
I covet your prayers. This is embarrassing, but I have really let my body clock slip into a late-to-bed, late-to-rise schedule over the summer. I need to force it back at least 2 whole hours and get my cardio done in the wee hours if I'm going to establish an organized, vibrant educational atmosphere for my girls this year.
Last year was just not all it could have been. Basics...yes. Documentation, field trips, fun stuff...not so much.
:( Your friend's heartache is breakin' mine. I am so moved when I consider the personal nature of the sacrifice made by soldiers, wives and children in keeping this world safe and inhabitable day to day, and year to year.
I appreciate you, Heather, and all the families like yours who have answered such a noble call.
Heather, I am always amazed by how much you feel for others. Knowing you personally, I KNOW that it is genuine. We are all so blessed to have someone like you praying for us and caring about us.
I'm glad your first week of school is over. Remember, if you're not relaxed about it, your kids won't be either. Loosen up and have fun with them! (Can you come and tell me that now?!)
Heather, I am so glad you made it throgh the first week. It can be so overwhelming at times, I know. You are doing a tremendous job of raising/instructing your children, in much more than just education, you are teaching them truths of God's word. Keep up the good work by Gods grace.
Have a blessed school year, and just remember, not to worry about what you may "miss something", God will help you to teach them just what they need to know at that time.
I too have not had time to blog much with working and trying to not neglect the important things, i.e. my family, when I get home.
God is faithful, and he will be by your side each and every moment.
Heather, you sweet momma. It has been waaaaayyyyyy toooooo long. I am glad to find that your blog is up to date, unlike mine. You are a blessing to me in your own special way.
I will start homeschooling this year for my 5yo DD. She is more than ready but I haven't picked a curriculum. Let me know what you choose if you don't use Abeka. I am considering Sonlight or My Father's World.
Would love to hear from you,
Elorrabrewer@aol.com
Blessings!!!!!
Hi Heather,
it is so good to hear what all you have been doing and going through! I miss you and can't wait till you return to the states...which will be??? Keep in touch. Love ya
Heather, thanks so much for this short- but so encouraging- post today. I too am thinking of others who are going through painful times, but know the Lord is with them without a doubt. My friend Amy is in hospice care at the hospital dying of liver and kidney cancer. It was very sudden news; feeling fine one day, being told you have months/ maybe weeks
(turned out to be weeks),the next. She has two little boys, ages 6 and 10, whom her mother will be taking in- even though she lives in a very small RV and has NO bedroom for either of them, no permanent address(so far.) The kids know about mom dying, and are sad about it of course. But I just wish I could take away the majority of their pain. My church and I had been reaching out to this friend, talking to her about God, for a long time and she chose to be saved as a result of this catastrophe. God is so merciful; I know in my soul that she is going to be with Him when she passes away shortly. Please help me pray for thses boys? Thier names are BJ and Ethan. Whoever else reads this, please help us pray, too? Thank you so much. I commented here because your post inspired me, spoke to how I am feeling right now, and because I knew in my heart that you all would be faithful to pray. Thanks for lettig me talk about them here; I know I have lost my link list alltogether so I don't get to the blogs I found in the beginning often at all(unless I find a link to one somewhere else), so I don't get to come by here as often as I should be. I plan on re-doing my link list, for my own sake, very soon but just need to find/make the time to do that. Love to you all, xoxo's
Miss Heather --
Hi! I stumbled across your blog via Mishel Ferguson's, and I was wondering if you are who I think you are. I am Rebekah N., we met in Yucca Valley, CA at a little Baptist church. If this sounds totally weird, sorry, you're not who I think you are. If you do know what I'm talking about, I'm glad I found you!
By the way, I also am a Christian and do not believe in horoscopes. When I first made my own blog I discovered that Blogger does that, but I also discovered that it takes it away if you do not enter your birthdate in your profile. I don't know if it will work for you, but it sure worked for me.
Glad your school is going great -- our homeschool starts next week...
Jenny-I hope school is going well! I need to get around to all my friends and see how everyone is doing!
Kristi-((((hug))) well, school is *going* :) I am enjoying it, but still feel inadequate.
Mrs Connie-thank you so much for being so encouraging. I am so thankful for the Godly and faithful women He has allowed me to meet.
GB- I so admire *you* -I have received such Godly advice and insight from reading your blog and getting to know you. Thank you my friend, and yes, I will pray.:)
(((Pam))) -I MISS YOU!!! I am going to try and IM you after AWANAs tonight, but please forgive me if I don't :( I so need to chat with you.
Melissa ((hug)) How are YOU??? I guess I should head on over to your blog and find out huh?
(((Elorra)))!! I think of you and wonder how you are doing!! I was *so* happy to see you *back* :) I will come visit with you for a bit. Praying things are well with you, my friend.
Laurie :)!! I love your blog girl and sooo miss my Mary Kay...:) I am so glad we can keep in touch this way. We have another year here :)
((Stacey)) I will be bathing this heartbreaking situation with prayer. My heart is truly sick over the pain these precious children are feeling. God is good all the time, and if I can hurt for a complete stranger and pray for comfort and peace...how much more our loving Heavenly Father hurts for them and seeks to comfort and love and surround with praying saints. I am praying dear sister in Christ.
Rebekah! (Bekah if I remember correctly?) ((hug)) I am so happy you found my blog!! Hope you are doing well :) I know that God is going to use you in a mighty way and I hope we keep in touch so that I may have the blessing to "see" His plan unfold in your life. Stay in touch!! Heather
Heather, I'm missing you!!
Hope you and the girls are having a great school week.
Hi Mrs Robin! How are you? Your husband is going to be back here on Oki soon right? I know he will love this church! ((hug)) heather
