Well, I must start by Praising the Lord for His bountiful...overflowing measure. Brian did not have to leave with the advanced party so he is here with us for another week!! God is so good :)
Even if he did leave...God is so good.
Well, as you can see, Brian has sworn in to another 4 years of service. I will support whatever he decides :)
And it was over...just like that.

The girls...looking on, with the rest of the Marines, as they read a letter of appreciation to me...the loving supporting wife ;)
And it was over...just like that.

Just think of it as 4 years closer to retirement!
I'm glad you've "accepted" this ;) You know, this does give us the opportunity to be thrown together again in the future!
Brian and Heather, thank you for being willing to sacrifice your "traditional" family time and face the possibility of daddy and hubby not being around sometimes for the sake of our peaceful sleep at night. Although we cannot fully understand the sacrifices you are called upon to make in the military we do sincerely appreciate them and we DO understand that you are a family sacrificing. We do our best to say thank you and I appreciate your glimpse into what it takes sometimes.
Heather, the fact that the military acknowledges your contribution is more than most churches do for their Pastor's wives. I don't say that as a martyr, please understand. I am just very proud that they do that even if it may be standard.
Thank you again, sweet family.
:) Four more years!! I seem to remember discussing the fact that B was getting OUT, oh, about two enlistments ago now. Ah, the good ol' USMC--it sucks ya in. ;)
Well, there's nothing like being a lifer! Wow, it doesn't seem like it's been that long though. I am happy for you all, and maybe one of these days you'll be stationed close again. :-)
Would it be terribly cheesy if I thanked you, too??
The sacrifice your entire family makes every single day for this country is so appreciated. The fact that you all just dedicated four more years of your lives to this is incredible. Thank you!
Enjoy the 'extra' week with hubby!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Thank the LORD for CHRISTIAN men and women willing to sacrifice and be there as a witness for others! Truly there is a MISSION FIELD with the military. We've seen this countless times in our own family.
I pray many doors open for you and your husband Heather. He'll put you both EXACTLY where you need to be and at the RIGHT TIME!
Please thank your husband..I hope he runs into my son one day! He goes to Iraq for the second time in April.
Thanks to you, your family and others like you. We at home can live a little more peacefully.
So how many more years until retirement? :P
I love the first photo especially! :)
Four More...only one more enlistment to go after this, right? You know I understadn and appreciate your willingness to stay in but as a friend let me tell you don't sacrifice service to the Lord for security in career or finances. I love you guys and know the feeling (especially now that we are in flux) but I enjoy serving in this new 'branch of service' so much more than the USMC. It is much more challenging and rewarding (sometimes only in heaven) but the Lord is patient and gracious! We can't wait to see you guys again and serve alongside your family. God bless you! Stay in His perfect will! And Semper Fi to God and Country!
In His harvest,
Martin
Congratulations on having your husband one more week...(the trump could sound before then)...and staying the course ....we appreciate your husband your your familys' sacrifice.

What a wonderful family!!! I want to add my very big THANK YOU to your family as well as to your husband for his sacrifical serving to keep us here safe. May God bless you all in ways your mind would not be able to think of. love you, Heather, connie from Texas
Glad you have another week together, Heather. I'm sure you are treasuring each moment!
Since Brian relenlisted, does this mean you will be staying in Japan?
I'm praying for you all.
Love ya.
The pictures are so sweet (except it looks cold there). This makes my husband sound really old, but he is eligible to retire in September of next year. I'm hoping we stick around for at least 4 more ourselves though. It's a sometimes hard, but very rewarding life.
Enjoyed reading your blog and tell your husband thanks for serving as a united states marine!!!
Thanks to both your husband and you!!!
Thank you so much for all your kind comments and words of encouragement :) I so appreciate it. Pastor Coon...please tell Kimberly I said hi and give her a big hug for me!
Ahhhh, another 4, huh? Thank you for serving, Brother Brian! We appreciate you.
I'm glad he's home for another week. And yes, God is so good...all the time.
