Getting Situated

Hi friends and family! Well, we are in Virginia, we landed last Wed. after traveling from Oki to Osaka (mainland) then Detroit and finally after being redirected for a while...to our final destination. Things are very busy, as you can imagine. I think we have finally gotten over the roughest part of the jet lag. We had to pick up a van which we purchased through the Exchange while overseas...neat program, get all the registration taken care of etc for that..and now we are looking for housing. We found a church that we believe is where the Lord would have us serve while we are here...so thank you so much for your prayers and please continue to keep us in prayer as we transition. There is MUCH to do! I won't be able to visit with you for a while as most of my internet time is spent looking for housing and the rest of the time is spent out and about checking out the area. It just amazes me how drastically the dynamics of a neighborhood changes within as little as 5 mi!!!

I love and miss you-please pray as moving is always difficult for the children (and for me!). Anjolie broke down after church this past Sunday and said, "I knew this day was coming, but *sob* I miss Pastor...I would always go give him a hug and say hi on my way to choir practice..." then she got me going-right there in Olive Garden we had ourselves a little cry over the churches we have had the blessing of being a part of...it is so hard to leave church family, but it is neat how our church family is just growing :) what a reunion it will be in Glory huh?

Hey my dear Heather. i am so glad you guys are safe and sound back in the stats. My prayers are with you all as you transition back into life here and with find a home, church and unpacking. I just did this all so I know hwo you feel. Ian still asks to go back to Japan. I think it may be atleast 3-4 times a week he says he misses it and wants to go back.
God is so good he will get us through.

Count it all joy, my Sister, when you and your children can weep over leaving a church. Leaving for other reasons leaves one weeping too, but not the same kind of tears. Sometimes leaving comes because there is hardly faith to be found on the earth. :(

And sing a chorus of Blessed Be the Tie that Binds...

So glad you're there and getting settled. You have definitely been in my prayers, many times a day. Can't wait to be able to talk to you again once things calm down :)

It's so good to hear from you! I'll be praying for y'all. Moving is never easy. It's hard on me, so I can't imagine how hard it must be on little ones.

Happy house hunting. Thats alot to have on your plate on top of the move and church search. Are you staying in millitary housing for the time being? We'll be praying for you as you have so many decisions facing you. Looking for ward to hearing from you when you get everything situated.

Hooray! Safe, happy, blessed and adjusting! Big, Big hugs to all of you. I bet this pastor would appreciate Anjolie's hug on her way to wherever too. It is more difficult to leave church family sometimes than to leave blood relatives. Chin up - God has great things ahead!

Heather, I'm so glad you made it stateside without any problems. My prayers are with you as you adjust to a new world basically. I'm not sure how often you were home before but I know for myself when I go to the states it's a major time of adjustment for me. Life is so different in the states as compared to Europe and it always takes me time to get used to the abundance.

Praying for find the perfect home soon and at the right price!

Take care!

So happy to know you are on THIS side of the world now...safe and sound.

How sweet of your daughter to miss her Pastor. I agree...those type of tears are good and a testimony of the sweet fellowship you had to leave. God will bless you with more fellowship and people that YOU can minister to in your new home.

God bless you all...
