Well, it is 10:57pm Japan time and this cat 4 typhoon is churning just west of us. We are the tiny little island that is almost directly aimed for...it looks as if the eye will graze the southern tip. I am suddenly thankful for the cinderblock the govt has provided for us to live in ;) The gusts outside are unbelievable! We now have to remain in quarters until the "all-clear" is given. We stocked up on water and food for the lock in :) I should go to sleep, but it is hard to with the "screaming" gusts outside. photo courtesy of JMA.

That's scary looking. Stay safe...I'll pray for you.
~Kristi
My prayers are with you and your family. Take care and I will look for a safe update. God Bless
Looks like a big one. Better get out the candles and board games. Praying that you don't get locked down for days or loose power.
Thank you..we really are safe in these houses built to withstand such storms. :) We have rain coming into one of our rooms..leaking through the ceiling, but that is about it :)Your prayers are appreciated!
So did it hit where you are?! Is there much damage?
Michael called me @ 0615 Wednesday morning my time. He didn't have much time because it was 2215 your time. He had arrived safely, it was a long trip and a typhoon was coming. I haven't heard from him since. I don't even know if the military e-mail address I have for him is accurate. If you hear anything will you let me know?
I hope and pray all is safe and well for all of you.
Heather, Michael just called. I have all his info now. He didn't tell me much about the typhoon, just that it hit and all is well.
He said that Msgt is taking really good care of him. In fact he was using their phone to call me. How expensive is a phone call from where you're at to where I'm at?!
(((HUG))) So he is here?!! I need to go check email! We lost power quite a bit the last couple of day, but all is well :)-gonna go check the mail!((hug)) and love -heather
