Ayden had his very first trip to the Barber :) Brian cut his hair the first time, but it is definitely worth the $5 for someone else to cut and clean up the hair mess .
Ayden did such a great job...he even got the
traditional warm cloth and neck/shoulder massage that the Japanese give at the conclusion of a haircut. Many Okinawans are superstitious and believe it to be good luck to touch light colored hair...our kids get "touched" and photographed quite a bit over here. This occasion was no different.
The Barber was happy to cut our little mans' hair :)
Ayden actually enjoyed all of the attention, surprise surprise. He is such a little ham.
Precious Daddy son moment.

I love the music on your blog! : )
What sweet pictures! I never knew about the belief regarding light hair. When we lived in Japan, people were always wanting to touch Ashleigh's hair--I just thought it was because it was so different for the Japanese people to see light hair.
Such sweet pictures! Awww!!!
I have recently found your blog and have enjoyed catching up a little. What great pictures. I remember my daughters 1st salon haircut, they get big so quick.
My husband was in the Navy and was stationed in okinawa for 6 months. He loved it and now really misses the sushi. So if you like it will you eat some for us :). I'll be back to visit your blog again.
Ms Mishel :) Awww I could just see little Ash getting extra attention because she is just so beautiful :) According to the Okinawans...golden hair brings good fortune.
Thanks Liz!
Welcome Tarrah, and stop by any time! I will have to visit your site. Yes, we like sushi! I will eat some for you...spicy tuna roll is about as exotic as I get though..is that good enough ;)
Only a Marine could pull off a pink drape at the barber shop! lol.
Good catch with these shots, Heather!

I know it must be done, but isn't it sad when they suddenly look older after the cut?
