I am thinking too of my dear friends...who are missing their husbands and their husbands are missing them. I appreciate you and am praying for you. I am praying for those of you preparing for your deployment. You can count on our support and our smiling faces welcoming you home.
When the Marines were first coming back from Iraq we would listen to the radio and drive to where we knew the bus carrying them would be and wave flags and show our support. We then, when meeting a friend who was returning, went to the reception area where the Marines offloaded. It was a beautiful sight to see all the reunions, but it was also heartbreaking to see the single Marines, whose families lived too far away to meet them, standing to the side with no happy welcome...just watching and waiting to go back to their Brks. We walked over and shook their hands and welcomed them home. Remember them.

Oh that breaks my heart...to think of a returning soldier without anyone to greet them. I think, though, that with tight security, there is nothing I can do to fill the gap here. :(
O.k....I'm back. I commented on your narrative before I watched the video.
I'm a little hollowed out now. But I think we all need to be.
Don't stop talking, Marine wife! Surely your husband calls you blessed!
I do not forget. I pray for them all and pray God takes care of them and their families til they return home. I wish they knew how grateful I am for thier sacrifice. I will remember. connie from Texas
you really know how to make someone cry. And I have on mascara so now look like a raccoon lol.
P.S I look like a raccoon, sorry about the type-o my eyes are stuck together. :)
That video just about broke me......but God is so good and uplifting, as you are dear friend. PS - I did notive that typhoon keeps moving further and further south!!
I will remember! I am so thankful that the Lord has seen fit to keep my hubby at home with us.
Thank you for posting that video and your comments. I cried and cried, as I always do watching such videos. I pray for our troops every night and will not stop. Thanks for the reminder.

I have a brother in law that is in Iraq and has been since November of last year. He won't be coming home till "hopefully" March of next year. He has a wife and 2 yr. old little girl that are home without him. He came home for three weeks in August and then had to go back. I pray for all of our troops that are serving either at home or abroad. I praise God for our military. Oh yeah..and the Marines have a special place in my heart since my daddy and my brother were both Marines. My BIL is a major in the army.
Remembering them always.
Thank you for posting this.
