AND THEN....

...mommy pulled out all her hair.... Yes, I can't believe it, but we did...I wasn't gonna post it...but I feel guilty if I don't...made ANOTHER trip to the ER because Lily tripped and fell on my vaccuum and cut her forehead open...to the bone. (I know there is not a thick layer of skin there, but still...to the bone expresses the drama I felt at the moment it happened) It bled horribly of course, and I thought I was going to pass out because I just could not take one more thing. But, Brian helped me calm down. I held Lily in the backseat of the van (that's right, she was not in her carseat, but I felt it was best so I could restrain her while I put pressure on her head ) with frozen beans on her head...she SCREAMED for about 20 minutes and then almost fell asleep. When we got to the ER...there were at least 5 other kids there! I was like Oh...must be freak kid accident day. One little kid had pulled boiling water out of the microwave on himself...another person broke their toe... Anyway, the Dr was really nice and told me he would try "gluing" it. It is about 3/4 inch across...please pray that it heals quickly. Little Lily is a slow healer, and scratches at her little cut :( I don't want her to have to go in and get stitches...I feel like such a bad mom.

Wow Heather! I feel for you. My hearts aches, because I know exactly how you feel. It will get better, I think. I guess it is just life with little ones.

Zach has busted his chin open--3 times in the same spot. It is always fun to go back the 2nd, and 3rd time for the same thing. I will warn you, as they did me, that spot will not be a pliable so it will break more easily now, so hopefully she won't hit the exact same spot again.

Again, my thoughts are with you. I hope you are doing well now. Life with little ones is nevery dull.

Love & prayers

Oh my goodness, Heather! I would Freak. Out. I'm thankful to know Lily's okay, but how scary that would be.

Whew... it hasn't even begun for me yet. :)

Love you!

Heather, you're not a bad Mom. Us Moms have all sorts of horror stories concerning our children. Why just two summers ago, my daughter was riding a four wheeler and didn't know that a 12 foot high steel beam was just around the corner of an old barn. She hit it straight on. I'm just glad she had on a helmet because there was a dent and several scratches right where the front of her skull is. Her wrists were really sore, but never did swell or bruise. She never complained at all but after FOUR days I finally realized that she had more than a sprain. Sure enough, they were both BROKE! I cried for days for not taking her immediately to the doctor. Then a few months later on Christmas Day, Harrison was running down the hallway at my Mother-in-law's house, jumped up on Hannah's back, and when they fell, he broke his leg. Just as Hannah was released from the orthopaedic doctor, Harrison was beginning. LOL Oh dear.

Awww, Heather you are *not* a bad mom. (((hugs))) Accidents happen, especially when you have active little ones. : )

I would have passed out for sure, with all the blood though. : / I just don't do good with blood. I am praying for little Lily (and for you too!)

Love you!
