My Parents Are Coming!-and other Stuff :)

:) I have not really had much time for posting or reading anyone else's posts *shock* because school officially started on Monday...and also, I am readying our home for my parents' arrival tonight. Yay!! This will be their first time seeing Ayden since he was born. Unfortunately, there is a typhoon headed this way, and is supposed to arrive on Saturday or Sunday...so we might have to spend that weekend indoors. ....Oh, I just HAVE to mention that I am reading Debi Pearl's CREATED TO BE HIS HELP MEET...I don't even know what to write, except aside from the Bible (which this book is centered around), this book has been the most eye-opening, convicting, encouraging ...put it this way, I was on my knees tearfully-fearfully begging forgiveness from the Lord for failing in so many ways after just a few chapters ...I was failing in some dangerous ways- that I was not even aware of until some issues were addressed. God is so good. The power went off last night, and I read by candle light which was so special...I thought, since the kids were in bed asleep when it happened, and Brian had to work an evening shift, "So, this is how God is going to get me alone on this :)" I sure wish I could have read it before I got married. I told my husband how excited I was to learn how I can be more of a blessing to him...infinitely more- when I am conformed to the revealed will of God's plan for my life as a help-meet. Amazing-it is a MUST MUST read...and I know alot of you already have ;)

Oooh! How exciting that your parents are visiting all the way to Japan!! I'll be praying y'all will have a safe and enjoyable weekend. I saw y'all go to Maranatha. I've had a few friends that have gone there when they were stationed in Okinawa.

I've been reading "Created to Be His Helpmeet", too. I'm glad the Lord is using it to convict, challenge, and encourage you.

Keeping you in my prayers.

I'm glad you're getting something from the book. I have not read it, but I have heard so many wonderful things about it. The good thing about it is that you wished you could have read it before you were married and now you have it to give to your daughters to read before they marry.

I hope you have a wonderful time with your parents. Take lots of pictures for us and savor the moments.

What fun to have your parents visit! I'm sure that will be absolutely wonderful. :)

I'm sad to say that I've never finished CTBHH... I read most of it our trip last summer right as you were moving, but when we got home and I started getting sicker and sicker :), I put it on the shelf and never read the last few chapters. Ridiculously sad, I know. I need to get it out and finish it!

I LOVE that book!!! Best book on marriage, for a woman to know how to be a biblical wife, I've ever read. Ok, ok. I've never made it past chapter 7. As hard as I try. I'm under so much conviction, and all ready working on SO much, that I just back off. I have re-read it to chapter 4 again, and will pick it up again soon. My husband ALWAYS knows when I've read it again, sadly. Praying for you and your journey as a helpmeet!!
