Under the Weather

I have not been feeling well..on and off for the past couple of months actually. I don't have any horrible symptoms, mostly fatigue and headaches. I would really appreciate prayer. I stayed home from church yesterday with a horrible headache which I woke up with again this morning. I ended up sleeping on the couch after Brian and 3 of the kids left for church (Brianna is not feeling well either) for 3.5 hours yesterday and still woke up with the headache. It could be something as simple as allergies and humidity, but the fatigue is so bad some days, I dread the thought of even getting myself and the kids dressed. I don't think it is anything to really *worry* about, but I would appreciate prayer as I am sure my family misses their *energetic* brand of mommy- I know I do.

Most of you will be thinking "Why not just go to the Dr"...honestly, with the military, it is usually more of a hassle than a help for stuff like this. Unless there is something "concrete" that they can fix, you are going to just end up with a wasted- 2 hours, money for childcare and gas. Not only that, I feel like unless I am just horribly ill, I am wasting their time as they are bombarded with work here. Yes, I would just appreciate some prayers lifted up to our Heavenly Father...He knows. :) Thank you.

edited to add...This encouraged me today...Spurgeon on Psalm 73:23 "Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand."
"He is always thinking of me for my good. Continually before His eye;—the eye of the Lord never sleepeth, but is perpetually watching over my welfare. Continually in His hand, so that none shall be able to pluck me thence. Continually on His heart, worn there as a memorial, even as the high priest bore the names of the twelve tribes upon his heart for ever. Thou always thinkest of me, O God. The bowels of Thy love continually yearn towards me. Thou art always making providence work for my good." CH Spurgeon Morning and Evening Devotions

Is this as bad as last year's sickness? I wish I was still there to watch your kids or help you clean the house...or something. I will definitely be praying for you!!

I will be praying for you. It is not good to be a Mommy and sick. I've been there.

2 thoughts for you to consider.

Have you had your eyes checked lately. I know that after I had Zach my eyes got so much worse, that I got new glasses. I was having horrendous headaches everyday, and it wore me out.

Have you tried Excedrin Migraine? I know all it is is acetiminophen, asprin and caffiene. But let me tell you when I get one of those kind of heachaches, that I can't do anything but lay down, and that doesn't help, I take this. It helps tremenously. You can also get it the generic form, so it is no so costly. However, for me it would be worth the price when I feel like this.

I sure hope you feel better soon. It must be awful to feel so under the weather for such a long time.

hugs and prayers

Heather,
Do you have an e-mail or something that I could write to you privately? Not that I have anything to hide! :) But, my comment might be longwinded and I would like to chat with you about a few spiritual things that may be going on... Anyway, I will be praying for you in the mean(sp?)time.
God bless,
Sarah T

Heather,
I sure hope you are feeling better soon! I know what you mean about the military. As a friend I am praying for you! As a nurse I encourage you to 'put out the military MD'. It could be as simle as a sinus infection. At the risk of sounding paranoid some times the worst case senarios start with just this vague non discript symptom. Does it hurt in the same place every time?

On a different note: thanks for your comment on my blog. I have the book The 5 Love Languages. Not for teens. I guess it's time to drag it out and reread it. For me it's all about balance. Hard, hard, hard!!

Didn't mean to write a book in your comments!

So hope you are feeling better.

Hi ! Just said a prayer for you. Do you drink coffee, or caffeine ? I suffered a lot from migraines and since I gave up all caffeine I haven't had a migraine. I noticed you from a comment you made on another blog, and admire your willingness to step out in faith and defend The Great Commission. Which is what we as Christians have been called to. Bless you, you sweet young Godly woman !! I admire that you are homeschooling, and in my eyes, you are a proverbs 31 woman ! Blessings,
Rhea

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, Heather. *whisper* Unless, maybe...it's the first trimester fatigue? Just a wild guess. Don't mean to start a rumor. But, maybe?

Praying for you health and your energy.

Miss Rhea, thank you so much for stopping by and passing on such sweet encouragement. Yes, could be caffeine, however, I usually consume 1 cup at the most...still, good point. Oh, I am humbled by your compliment: God is so good, I don't allow His light to shine enough. If I could shout it, I would...God is SO good.
LOL GB LOL!!!Well, there is 99.9+% that that is NOT the case. We are finished...I am kind of sad about that, but know that it is for the best :) There are miracles! If that would happen..I would first have to revive our parents as they would faint dead away LOL and then grow 2 more arms :) Just kidding...
